2eleven edition musiQ

Founded in 2021, 2eleven edition musiQ is a specialist publisher of score music for silent film. It publishes new and recent score music for silent films from the first three decades of the 20th century. The score music works, which have been commissioned primarily for the series "Silent films on Arte" and produced in cooperation with ZDF and ARD/Degeto in collaboration with Arte over the past 25 years, are united by an artistically extremely fruitful dialogue between film music tradition and musical avant-garde, situated between the ideals of Becce's illustration music and a compositional reassessment of film images and narratives that are now often over 100 years old.

Outstanding and internationally renowned composers, as well as promising young composers, have taken on the "silent" films and created surprising musical experiences and new visual axes to the film classics of yesterday for today's audiences.

The musical works published in the 2eleven edition musiQ are all available as rental material.
